Carmaphycin-17 - CAS 2143080-91-3

Carmaphycin-17 (CP-17) is a selective proteasome inhibitor with an EC50 of 217 nM. It exhibits potent antimicrobial activity against Trichomonas vaginalis and can overcome resistance to Metronidazole. In mouse models of vaginal trichomoniasis, CP-17 significantly reduces parasite burden after topical treatment without any observed adverse effects. Additionally, Carmaphycin-17 is useful for researching sexually transmitted diseases like trichomoniasis.
