Glucoraphenin potassium, the primary orally active glucosinolate found in radish sprouts, catalyzes the induction of xenobiotic metabolizing enzymes (XMEs) . It is hydrolyzed by the enzyme myrosinase into sulforaphene, which is associated with anticancerogenic effects [1] [2].
