Lumifusidic Acid, a derivative of Fusidic Acid, is classified as a static antibiotic. Fusidic Acid inhibits protein synthesis in prokaryotes by blocking the ribosome-dependent activity of the G factor and the translocation of peptidyl-tRNA. Additionally, this compound can inhibit the lytic effect of nitric oxide on islet cells.
