N-Palmitoyl Phenylalanine - CAS 37571-96-3

N-Palmitoyl phenylalanine is an N-acylamide compound combining the long-chain saturated fatty acid palmitic acid with the essential amino acid L-phenylalanine through an amide bond. In nuclear extracts of HeLa cells, this compound inhibits pre-mRNA splicing activity (IC50 = ~150 μM) ; however, it does not exhibit splicing activity in whole HeLa cells.
