Among these, Palmitoleoyl Ethanolamide (POEA) is synthesized endogenously from palmitoleic acid. Notably, unlike arachidonoyl ethanolamide and palmitoyl ethanolamide, POEA lacks antinociceptive effects in the formalin-evoked pain model.
