Perezone - CAS 3600-95-1

Perezone is a sesquiterpene benzoquinone found in the roots of Acourtia species. It inhibits the activity of leukemia cell line K-562 and human glioblastoma cells U-251 (IC50: 6.83 μM) . Perezone enhances the expression of caspase3, 8, and 9 genes associated with apoptosis (Apoptosis), and it also exhibits antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties.
