Serum thymic factor acetate (Thymulin acetate) is the acetylated form of Serum thymic factor. This zinc-dependent immunoregulatory peptide hormone is produced by thymic epithelial cells. Serum thymic factor acetate protects rats from nephrotoxicity caused by Cephaloridine through the inhibition of ERK activation.
